BHO

WHAT IS BHO

BHO, or butane hash oil, is an extremely potent concentrate popularly consumed for dabbing and other vaporization methods. Cannabinoids are drawn out of the plant through butane extraction, which leaves behind a wax that will either maintain its sticky consistency or harden up, resulting in a crumbly “honeycomb” or a glasslike “shatter.” Because its THC content stretches up to 80%, BHO is a popular remedy for chronic pain and other intractable symptoms. Always be sure that your oil is lab tested for purity, as improperly purged BHO may contain traces of butane.  BHO or Butane Honey Oil is created when a solvent (typically butane) is combined with raw plant material. There are two processes that are primarily used, open loop blasting and closed loop blasting.

Butane Honey Oil is the essential oil from the cannabis plant, extracted using n-Butane as a solvent.

Butane Honey Oil extraction refers to the method used to extract the essential oils from cannabis.

On average we have extracted about 18% oil by weight from bud, but as low as 5.7% absolute and as high as 25 absolute.

Oil that is to be vaporized, is normally treated differently than oil that is used orally or topically, because it doesn’t need to be decarboxylated. For cannabis concentrates to be orally and topically active, it does require that the THCA and CBDA be converted to THC and CBD, by a heating or drying process.
